Dymaxion Project Completed

During August C&G completed and delivered the latest brand new car project - the recreation of Buckminster Fuller's 1934 Dymaxion. Delivered on time, the entire project took just under two years from start to finish and resulted in one of the most amazing cars that C&G have created.

The car, which takes some running gear from the Ford road car was manufactured with fabricated steel chassis, ash body frame and aluminium body panels. The original design using cable steering for the single rear wheel was faithfully recreated, thus producing and incredibly maneuverable car, considering that it is 6m long.

As with most projects of this nature, sourcing information and parts was one of the biggest challenges. Where necessary, parts that would have been readily available in 1934 had to be researched, designed and re-manufactured in C&G's workshops.

The car was successfully tested and has now been delivered to its owner.
