Leading the field in historic race car restoration and in the manufacture and supply of replacement parts for the historic motor racing industry for the last 35 years, Crosthwaite & Gardiner is one of the most highly regarded names in this specialised area of the UK, and indeed, international motorsport.

In order to maintain the reputation built upon the engineering excellence shown throughout the company history, C & G continue to develop new stock and one off items to swell an already impressive parts store. Holding the largest stock of new Bugatti spare parts in the world, along with a vast selection of spares for Coventry Climax, Jaguar, Maserati and ERSA, ensures the workshops are always running at full capacity.

Vehicle restoration has always been, and indeed still is, at the heart of the operation. The recent commission from Audi, to completely rebuild and build replicas of Auto Unions raced between 1934 and 1939, awarded in the light of previous experience gained rebuilding D-Type Auto Unions and GP Mercedes Silver Arrows, has been a very large feather in the company’s cap. The recreation of a Dymaxion is the next interesting project in the pipeline.

Supplying complete replacement race engines, fully dynamometer tested and ‘ready to race’, to many national and international customers, combined with full and partial engine rebuilds and a continuing development programme has ensured that the name of Crosthwaite & Gardiner heads the grid of today’s historic motorsport industry.
